REGARDING CORONAVIRUs (COVID-19):
To all our valued patients and family members,

Please note that for the safety of our at-risk patient population, we continue to require mask-wearing in our office during your entire visit. Please bring a mask with you when you come. You can continue to expect the same level of protection in our office including thorough cleaning of rooms and equipment in between each patient, and masks worn by all office staff. Our staff have all been vaccinated against COVID-19. We use medical grade HEPA air filters in every room.

We do offer telemedicine visits for eye concerns that can be evaluated over video call. You can participate in the video call using either a mobile phone or a computer that has a webcam and microphone. Please contact our office at 415-461-8200 to schedule either an in-person visit or a telemedicine visit as appropriate.

Our office has an electronic health record system. You may now view upcoming appointment information and complete all registration / check-in documents from the convenience of your home using OnPatient portal. Completing your check-in process online minimizes wait time during your appointment, and eliminates the need to handle pen and paper at the office. Learn more about how to access the patient portal here.

Annual Eye Exams

Come in for your annual eye health check up with a dilated exam and ocular diagnostic imaging.
As we age, our eyes change and so does our vision. A dilated exam allows us to perform a comprehensive evaluation of the health of your eyes. Our state of the art testing and imaging equipment helps diagnose early signs of cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and many other eye diseases.

Please note that our office does not provide refraction (glasses prescriptions) and contact lens fitting services and we do not participate with any vision insurance plans (such as VSP).
Cataract Evaluation

If you need cataract surgery, rest assured that our surgeons are skilled at performing minimally invasive cataract surgery with the latest lens technology.
Your vision is extremely important and here at Bay Area Eye Specialists, we specialize in performing advanced refractive cataract surgery. Our goal is to give you the best possible vision using a combination of the latest available surgical technology and intraocular lens implants custom-suited to your needs. Come talk with our doctors today to see what cataract surgery options are right for your eyes!
