UPDATES REGARDING CORONAVIRUs (COVID-19):

To all our valued patients and family members,

Please note that although the CDC and the state of California have relaxed mask-wearing policies in public, those changes do not apply to medical office settings. Therefore, we continue to strictly enforce a mask-wearing policy in our office. You can continue to expect the same level of protection in our office including social distancing with a limit on the number of patients in the office at one time, thorough cleaning of rooms and equipment in between each patient, and masks worn by all office staff. You may also choose to wait in the car after checking in for your appointment. Our staff have all been vaccinated against COVID-19. We use medical grade HEPA air filters in every room.

We are currently open under a reduced schedule for in-person visits, prioritizing those who have active eye issues or those with necessary follow ups. Due to these limitations, please understand that there will be a wait to schedule routine appointments. We also offer telemedicine visits for eye concerns that can be evaluated over video call. You can participate in the video call using either a mobile phone or a computer that has a webcam and microphone. Please contact our office at 415-461-8200 to schedule either an in-person visit or a telemedicine visit as appropriate.

IMPORTANT: All individuals entering the office must continue to wear a face mask or face covering. It must cover the nose and mouth for the duration of the entire visit. Masks with exhalation valves / vents are NOT acceptable.

To help prevent spreading of virus, we ask that you refrain from coming to the office if you have:

- Cold or flu-like symptoms including: FEVER, COUGH, or SHORTNESS OF BREATH

- Traveled outside of the country or have been on a cruise in the past 2 weeks

- Been in close contact with anyone over the past 2 weeks who has flu-like symptoms, is suspected of having COVID-19, or has tested positive for COVID-19

- New loss of sense of taste or smell

If any of the above apply to you, please call our office and we will be happy to reschedule your appointment.

Our office has upgraded to an electronic health record system. You may now view upcoming appointment information and complete all registration / check-in documents from the convenience of your home using OnPatient portal. Completing your check-in process online minimizes wait time during your appointment, and eliminates the need to handle pen and paper at the office.
